Before you rush out and purchase
one, recognize that there are additional factors to consider:
- Is the fit correct? A suit that does not fit you like a glove
will get wrinkles when you swim, causing added drag. This defeats
the purpose of the suit.
- Does the suit limit your range of motion? If it does, you may be
limiting performance.
- Is the suit affordable? These suits cost considerable more than
traditional suits and anecdotal evidence indicates that the
performance of the suit declines as it gets older.
- The suit will not replace training and preparation. Ultimately,
your training and preparation will determine your performance.
Remember that it's the engine in the car that determines how fast it
will go.
